RHEOSTAT TESTS

Atlant Group LLC performs a full range of rheostatic tests of diesel locomotives TEM 2, TEM 18, CHME3, which must be carried out after repair work, before commissioning of new units, in case of failures in the generator set, after TR-2 and TR-3. In some cases, it is recommended to monitor the condition of the power plant after TR-1.

THE MAIN TASKS OF SUCH TESTS ARE:

• checking the DGS (diesel generator set);
• checking and setting up electrical circuits;
• checking of power nodes for compliance with the declared characteristics, etc.

For these purposes, a dry rheostat is used, which provides a load at the upper points of the diesel generator operation. Based on the tests carried out, the system is configured (if necessary) in accordance with the technical requirements. The latter provide the highest efficiency of the DGS with maximum efficiency.
